Baby Jordan

Our sweet baby girl Jordan Hampton arrived Thursday September 15, 2011 at 3:58 pm. She is the sweetest baby and such a blessing to our family.

After moving to Jupiter, FL I was worried that we wouldn't have family down when she was born, but luckily my parents made the trek to help. Love them!!!

Preston is very happy that his little sister finally joined us. He would always rub my pregnant belly asking her to come out and play. He was really ready for her to get here. He kisses her cheeks and tries to make her laugh everyday.

Polar Express

We headed up to Cherokee, NC this weekend for the Polar Express. Definitely something you should do if you get the chance. We had my nephew, Jack, with us to enjoy the trip. We didn't have the chance to gamble, but we had a blast taking in all of the sights.

The bears all over Cherokee were really cool. They were painted by the local artists and the boys had fun spotting them all. We had really yummy burgers in Bryson City right before we went to the train station. The antique train station was really nice. The train sets were well done and the boys loved it.

Nothing but the Family

We have been getting together with the family a lot over the past few weeks. All gathered up at Billy's house for lunch in mid-June. Mom and Dad weren't able to join us, but it was still a lot of fun!

Everyone came to our house for 4th of July to celebrate! Caroline and her crew were not able to join us except for Morgan who decided not to go camping. They were missed for sure, but I was glad to see Morgan. Kaylin had everyone charmed, of course, and really showed her personality that's developing. From being shy to stomping her little feet when frustrated she is incredibly cute! Preston spent most of the day in the pool Nate set up for him. My little fish got a little burned, but enjoyed every second in the water. It was good seeing Uncle Dick before he heads out to Kuwait in August, and Aunt Pam is always sweet. Everyone brought lots of good food and it was almost all eaten by the late afternoon.

By the time it was dark Preston was snoozing and we all were ready to pass out. Mom and I stayed up to watch the Boston Pops fireworks concert. I wish Preston would have stayed up since they had fireworks over the lake in our neighborhood which I know he would have loved!

I hope you all had a safe and Happy 4th of July!

Day Hike

We packed up the car for a picnic and a small hike on Memorial Day this year. Preston had a lot of fun and actually didn't ask to be picked up but only twice the entire time, which was great for Nate and I. Hopefully this will be something that we do more often now!

Mom's Birthday

Yesterday we all headed up to Caroline's house to celebrate Mom's Birthday. It was fun getting together as we have not done that in a while. The kids had a blast running all over the place. I think Mom liked her gift, a digital picture frame. I loaded a bunch of photos on it for her, and set it up to play as we sang "Happy Birthday".

Preston and Jack are so funny when they are together. Jack is very atheletic and Preston wants to try everything he does. Caroline and Bryan had some really good food. Stacy made a yummy red velvet cake, and I made my dip. Pictures below.
